Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about elbow conditions and treatments
Tennis elbow (lateral epicondylitis) is inflammation of the tendons on the outside of your elbow. Despite its name, only 5% of people with tennis elbow actually play tennis. It's commonly caused by any repetitive gripping activities - typing, painting, plumbing, cooking, or using tools. The condition affects the extensor muscles that help straighten your wrist and fingers.
